East Bay Community Action Program at Barnes and Nobles

On December 2nd, 2010 the East Bay Community Action Program AmeriCorps team held a Barnes and Nobles fundraiser on West Main Road, Middletown, RI. Customers who wanted to help the AmeriCorps team would mention their name at the registers and 10% of their total purchase made would go towards the program. Also during the fair we had events for children: face painting, story time, arts and crafts, and scavenger hunts with of course prizes. There was fabulous and free gift wrapping with the option to give donations, chat about books, the weather and further contributions EBCAP will be making to the East Bay community. The fundraiser proceeds will go towards a community outreach program/fair in the spring of 2011. The fair will provide families with information about heating, dental, health, head Start and many other social services that EBCAP provides.
