Happy Holidays from Generations of Learning at Connecting for Children & Families

Americorp Generations of Learning at Connecting for Children & Families

Hello Everyone!  It’s been a very busy November here.  We have been very busy in our classrooms and in our afterschool program, as always.  This month, we collected donations of food and money from Americorp members and CCF staff to be able to make two Thanksgiving baskets to give to families in need here in our school community.  Students in the Afterschool Program decorated the boxes.  We heard that the recipients of the food were delighted.  It feels good to make people happy, and to be able to follow in the footsteps and honor the memory of Dr. ML King, who wanted to be remembered most for helping people in need.  Thank you, Dr. King, for your example and inspiration to us and to all the world.

Our first eight-week session of our afterschool program is nearly finished, and we will be having a Parent Showcase on Dec. 3.  Our students’ parents will be able to view their handiwork.  The students have been working very hard on their projects, and are looking forward to this event.  So are we!

Till next time, Happy Holidays and take care.
