“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?”

Our AmeriCorps service is a vocation, we do it because we like to serve and help in our community. We can compare our year of service to the work of Martin Luther King. As members of AmeriCorps, we help low-income families to educate their children without exclusion due to race, color, religion or culture. In a few words, we try to serve with humility like the Reverend King and fight for a just justice for all.
We are a multi-cultural group of 35 members, and many of us speak Spanish but from different countries. Our diversity extends to our age, education levels and interests. We are serving at 29 sites that focus on health and education topics.
