Partnerships for Success workshops!

AmeirCorps*VISTA Kerry passed along some great information to me about upcoming Partnerships for Success workshops!

“PFS is sponsoring a series of workshops for PK-16 education practitioners this spring, all of which are focused on building and strengthening collaborative PK-16 partnerships.” Check it out:

Spring 2013 Partnership Workshop Series

Collective Problem-Solving for Partners                                                       April 24th

8:30 am – 10:00 am

AICU Rhode Island, 30 Exchange Terrace, Providence, RI

This work session will concentrate on collective problem-solving for existing partnerships. Carie Hertzberg, Rhode Island Campus Compact, and Kerry Condon, PFS AmeriCorps*VISTA, will lead activities designed to strengthen and deepen current PK-16 collaborations in the state of Rhode Island. This workshop will provide an invaluable opportunity for practitioners to network with and glean strategies from other PK-16 partnership practitioners. All those engaged in partnership work in the realm of PK-16 education are encouraged to attend!

School-Business Partnerships                                                                          May 30th

4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

100 Amica Way, Lincoln, RI

To unleash the power of school and business partnerships, educational leaders need a comprehensive understanding of the need for partnerships, the nature of school and business partnerships, the barriers sometimes encountered, and the key elements of successful partnerships. This professional development session facilitated by Dr. Guy Alba, Central High School Administrator, addresses these issues and guides participants in subjecting their own school and business partnerships to the rigorous assessment of the Partners Affecting Learning (PAL) Evaluation Model® and the use of the PAL Evaluation Tool®.
